Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell
Client: Vuguru
Director: John Walsh, Mary Harron
We shot Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, for Michael Eisner’s new-media studio, Vuguru, Inc in January of 2011. Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell is a one-man film, based on the show Another American: Asking & Telling, originally written and produced for the theater by NYC actor Marc Wolf. Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell explores the controversial US military policy of the same name, and tells the stories of people inside and outside of the military directly affected by its consequences. Our filmed version, directed by John Walsh (Pipedream), and creative consultant Mary Harron (American Psycho, I Shot Andy Warhol) puts the one-man show on location within the walls of a decommissioned military armory in Ansonia, CT, bringing a new dynamic to Marc’s theatrical performance. Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell was released by Snag Films and can also be found on iTunes.
